At Koenig & Strey, February has been a month to warm even the coldest of hearts. Our written contracts are up 93% for the month so far compared to February 2009, and closed business is up 50%, seriously outperforming the market. On top of all that, the average sales price is inching upward.
Breaking Ground – New Homes Starts On the Rise
The hammers and backhoes were out in force last month, as housing starts rose 2.8% in the month of January from the previous month. Overall, new construction for both single and multi-family homes was 21% higher than January 2009.
