The Winnetka-Northfield Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the North Shore’s premier annual sidewalk sale on Friday and Saturday July 20-21, from 9 am to 5 pm. Besides fantastic savings, the sale promises to bring fun and food for shoppers of all ages.  In the heart of the downtown festivities is the Koenig & Strey Winnetka office at 538 Chestnut Street.

As an annual participant in the sidewalk sale, Koenig & Strey will be offering children the opportunity to draw their home and have it proudly displayed on the storefront window. And while you’re at the Koenig & Strey table, take a guess at how many keys are in the jar and maybe you’ll win a painting of your home donated by local artist Laurie Werner.

Local retailers will display a wide range of goods from fashion and jewelry to sporting goods and books at discounted prices. The Winnetka-Northfield Chamber will also welcome unique specialty merchants that will display their wares in the area during the sale. Along with specialty merchandise, shoppers can browse food vendors, charity organizations, and other professional services as they enjoy the day.

The street fair atmosphere will also include a children’s “Kid-entrepreneur” section that will feature items made by local children, such as: duct tape wallets, face painting and crafts. There will be music in the streets to liven up the sale.
